Community Health Awareness Campaign in Hajar 7 Settlement, Sudan

On Saturday, December 27, 2025, the End the Neglect Initiative implemented a community health awareness campaign in Hajar 7 settlement village, New Halfa Locality, Sudan. The activity targeted women and children, reaching a total of 42 beneficiaries across different age groups. The session focused on key public health topics, including the symptoms and prevention of schistosomiasis, malaria, and respiratory infections.

To enhance engagement, the campaign included an interactive educational play designed specifically for children, explaining malaria transmission and prevention in a simple and age-appropriate way. This approach helped improve understanding and retention of health messages.

The campaign was marked by active participation and a positive response from attendees, highlighting the value of community-based health education.
