End Snakebite Project

The End Snakebite Envenoming Project by the End the Neglect Initiative highlights an integrated approach to addressing a major neglected tropical disease in Sudan. A health education campaign conducted at New Halfa Teaching Hospital reached over 411 individuals, including patients, visitors, and healthcare staff . In parallel, a research study was undertaken to explore the epidemiology, prevention, and management challenges of snakebite envenoming in Sudan. Findings from this work contributed to a peer-reviewed publication, strengthening the evidence base and supporting improved public health responses to reduce the burden of snakebite envenoming.
