The End Mycetoma Project by the End the Neglect Initiative demonstrates a comprehensive approach to addressing neglected tropical diseases in New Halfa, Kassala State, Sudan. A health education campaign at New Halfa Teaching Hospital reached over 520 individuals, including patients, visitors, and healthcare staff. In addition, a seminar attended by approximately 100 healthcare workers strengthened clinical knowledge on managing mycetoma cases. The project also included a research component, collecting data and biological samples from patients to study disease epidemiology. By integrating education, training, and research, the initiative supports evidence-based strategies to combat mycetoma in endemic regions.
