During World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week (18–24 November 2023), the End the Neglect Initiative conducted a public health campaign in New Halfa, Kassala State, Sudan. The campaign took place at New Halfa Teaching Hospital, local markets, and pharmacies, reaching approximately 385 individuals and covering 25 pharmacies. It focused on raising awareness about antimicrobial resistance, highlighting the dangers of misuse and overuse of antibiotics . By promoting responsible antimicrobial use and educating communities, the initiative contributes to efforts aimed at reducing the growing threat of drug-resistant infections.
